SURFACE PREPARATION EQUIPMENTS
Grit blasting is a process where abrasive particles are pneumatically accelerated and forcefully directed against a surface. used for generating anchor pattern on components. This also removes contaminants from the component surface and used to:
  • Make rough surfaces for preparation of thermal spraying, painting and operations
  • Remove rust, scale, paint and coatings
  • Remove burrs and sharp edges
  • Provide a matte surface finish to the part
STANDARD BLASTING MACHINES

PRESSURE BLASTING

PRESSURE BLASTING
Works on Direct Pressure principle of blasting. Uses a pressurized vessel or “blast pot” that holds the abrasive media. In a pressure blast machine the air pressure in the vessel and in the “pusher” line is the same. This means that there is no pressure differential between the blast pot and the blast line – this allows the abrasive media to meter into the air stream at the blast pot and then run the length of the blast hose out to the nozzle. Pressure abrasive blast equipment has a single hose running to the blast nozzle.

SUCTION BLASTING

SUCTION BLASTING
Works on Injection Suction principle of blasting. Uses the venturi principle to draw abrasive from a non-pressurized hopper to the blast gun where it is combined with the compressed air stream and propelled against the work surface. Suction blast machines are most easily distinguished by having two hoses (one for air and one for abrasive) running to the blast gun

WET BLASTING CABINET

Unlike dry blasting, wet blasting (or Vapor blasting ) uses a water as liquid to enhance the levels of surface finish that can be achieved. The benefit of including water is to achieve much smoother and more consistent finish
Works on Injection Suction principle of blasting. Uses a slurry pump to draw the wet slurry of very fine abrasive and water to the blast gun where it is combined with the compressed air stream and propelled against the work surface

PORTABLE ABRASIVE BLASTER

PORTABLE ABRASIVE BLASTER
These are commonly used blasting equipment in the sand blasting industry. Mostly uses as open air blasting at project sites and in blasting rooms. Compressed air is used for the operation of the equipment
The blast generator of machine is complete with a pressure vessel, mushroom valve, exhaust valve and an outlet with pinch valve & mixing tube to feed the nozzle via blasting hose. A conical top cover on vibrating screen will be provided to prevent the spillage of abrasive.
Pressure vessels are fabricated from 6 mm thick boiler grade plate and are hydraulically tested at 250 psig as per CE standards.

VACUUM BLASTING MACHINE
A special valve on pressure vessel allows to work with a blasting pressure as low as 1 bar and as high as 7 bar with the same machine. Vacuum blasting technique can be used on delicate blasting jobs where blasting on low pressures is a must. All MEC vacuum blasting machines comes with a standard special lightweight blast head, blast and vacuum hose assembly, as well as a set of brushes to treat flat surfaces. The very special fibers used in brushes ensure best performance and economy

Blastroom are used in a wide variety of industries that require surface preparation prior to the application of a protective coating.The surface of the work piece is cleaned by a mixture of abrasive and high pressure compressed air being directed on to the work piece by blast nozzle. The blast room contains the abrasive being shot at the workpiece, as well providing lighting and ventilation for the operator safety.

Paint booth is large contained environment equipped with exhaust system and filters to make spray painting safer and cleaner. Paint booth has been a mandatory equipment in bodyshop. They are used to ensure dust free operation during the painting process so that the quality of the painting is improved. It has a paint baking facility for proper drying of painted area.This helps in getting factory finish paint quality. It prevents the operator from inhaling the hazardous paint fumes
